Monks Return Sept. 2-7, 2008

Tibetan Monks from

IA Arts Council

This project supported in part by a grant from the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.

Tarahouse was awarded a grant by the Iowa Arts Council at the end of April to support bringing the monks from Gaden Shartse monastery back to build another sand mandala at Eppley Gallery on Morningside College campus, here in Sioux City, IA.

All at Levitt Gallery in Eppley Auditorium building, on Morningside College campus, Sioux City.  Free to the public, donations welcome.

4:00 PM - 5 PM  PUJA at COFFEEWORKS, 1920 Pierce St., Sioux City; free, donations welcome.

9:00 AM  HEALING at YOGA COLLEGE, 522 Nebraska St., Sioux City.  Suggested donation $15 per person.

2:00 PM - 6 PM PUJA at LAUGHING MONKEY TEMPLE, Ponca , NE; with potluck.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2008

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM  LECTURE at FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH, 2508 Jackson St., Sioux City; with potluck.  Free, donations welcome.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM VIEWING and DESTRUCTION of SANDMANDALA,
Attendees may take home some of the sand.
